We met three years ago at a biology conference in New York, and the drinks afterward changed everything. Oscar followed Jake into the startup scene — events together every day, long runs every weekend — and we learned long distance the hard way: Bronx to Brooklyn, then a year across the country in eastern Washington, until Oscar moved home to Oakland and Jake followed. Now we're getting married where we landed. Everything you'll need is here: where to be, when, and how to make a weekend of it.

The look: Out-dress the grooms if you dare — though we suspect you will. Come dressed in Italian chic, dripping in la dolce vita glamour, a touch of Italian mob mystique, the sun-drenched decadence of Pier Paolo Pasolini, and the effortless elegance of a Roman Holiday. Excess is encouraged. Nothing is too fabulous. Sonoma cools off fast after sunset, so bring something for warmth in the evening.

04 — Gifts

The greatest gift is you on the dance floor. But for those who've asked, we've put together a few things — and a fund for the honeymoon we've been dreaming about.

The Honeymoon

Help send us somewhere unforgettable — every bit goes to the trip. Zelle to Jake at 646-852-2993.

Make a Weekend of It

Things to Do

05 — Explore
01The Fire TrailJake's weekly run, up in the Berkeley hills. Go at golden hour and you'll understand why we stayed.Trail
02French TrailOur standing weekend run — Joaquin Miller Park, redwoods ten minutes from the house. Tilden's forest loops are the equally good northern answer.Forest
03The Greek TheatreWhere Jake proposed. Check who's playing that weekend — we have no idea, but we'll probably be jealous.Show
04Oakland BallersCatch a Ballers game — local baseball the way it's supposed to feel. Cheap seats, good hot dogs.Ballgame
05The Wine CrawlBest Friends, Ordinaire, and Snail Bar — three of our favorite pours in Oakland. Do all three and report back.Drink
06Urban OreA warehouse of salvaged everything. Go in for nothing, leave with a door, a lamp, and a story.Treasure
07Fourth Street, BerkeleyThe good kind of shopping street — bookstores, homeware, long coffees between them.Shop
08Lotus ChurchOur local entheogenic church, for the genuinely curious. Their sacraments aren't for everyone — know yourself, go gently.Curious
09Hog Island Oyster Co.Shuck-your-own on Tomales Bay, an easy detour from wine country. Book ahead — worth building an afternoon around.Eat
The Only Homework

Say yes.

Kindly respond by 1 May 2027. One form per household — update it anytime before the deadline. Questions? Text or call Jake — 646-852-2993.

Bringing little ones? A babysitter will be available after the ceremony. In your note below, tell us if you're traveling with children — how many, what ages, and whether they'll join us for dinner or enjoy chicken nuggets upstairs.

Who's Coming

In good company.

07 — The Map

Every gold light is a city someone is travelling from. RSVP above and add yours to the map.

Add to the album

Pick a photo from your camera roll. It'll appear in the album for everyone.

Getting here by air

OAK — OAKLAND

The local's choice. ~20 min to the Friday aperitivo at Kingfish, ~50 min to Jacuzzi Family Vineyards. Smaller, faster in and out.

SFO — SAN FRANCISCO

More flights, more airlines. ~40 min to Oakland, ~1h15 to Sonoma. If you're making a week of it in the city, land here.

BART FROM THE AIRPORT

From either airport, BART's yellow line brings you straight to MacArthur or Rockridge — both a short hop from the Airbnbs, Kingfish, and our place. From OAK take the connector to Coliseum, then the yellow line north; from SFO it's the yellow line the whole way.

GETTING AROUND

A rental car is the easy answer for wine country. No car? The Saturday buses cover the vineyard round-trip — just get yourself to the pickup point (details to follow).

WHEN TO LAND

Thursday evening or Friday morning puts you comfortably at the aperitivo by 6:00 PM Friday.

Shred our debt

WHAT IT GOES TO

Student loans first, then the down payment fund. You're welcome to say which — or leave it to us.

BY CHECK

Make it out to Jake Stevens or Oscar Schrag. Bring it to the wedding or ask us for a mailing address.

BY ZELLE

Send to Jake at 646-852-2993 — add a note so we know it's for the debt and not the honeymoon.

ANYTHING ELSE

Text Jake at 646-852-2993.

Where to stay

THE CLAREMONT — BERKELEY HILLS

The grand one. A historic resort in the hills with a spa and views over the whole bay — if you're making a weekend of it in style, this is our pick.

HOTEL SHATTUCK PLAZA — DOWNTOWN BERKELEY

Handsome, central, and easy — steps from BART and Berkeley's restaurants, a short hop to the Friday aperitivo and the bus pickup.

AIRBNB

The East Bay (Rockridge, Temescal, North Berkeley) keeps you close to everything; wine country stays put you near the vineyard but far from Friday night.

GROUP AIRBNBS

We've pre-booked houses in Sonoma and Oakland and are passing them along at cost — see the rooms and claim one. More may be booked as space fills up.

FAMILY HOSTING

A limited number of guest rooms with family are available — request one directly with Jake or Oscar (text 646-852-2993).

Saturday bus schedule

AFTERNOON — OUT

Two buses depart mid-afternoon for Jacuzzi Family Vineyards, arriving ahead of the 5:00 PM champagne. Pickup and drop-off are at the wedding-party house — exact times to follow with your RSVP confirmation.

NIGHT — BACK

Both buses return after the barrel room winds down — one earlier for the sensible, one at the end for the committed.

DRIVING INSTEAD?

There's parking at the vineyard — but it's a wine country wedding; the bus exists so nobody has to do math at midnight.

TRY WAYMO

Around Oakland and San Francisco, take a driverless one — it's the future and it never judges your aperitivo count. Use Jake's referral code JAKE3Y38 for $10 off your first ride.

Suit placements — rate card

THE LAPEL — PREMIUM

The handshake zone. Your logo greets all 150 guests, every photo line, and both mothers. Maximum impressions.

POCKET SQUARE — FEATURED

Full-color logo on silk, visible in every portrait. Tasteful. Unmissable.

INNER LINING — MULTI-LOGO

The reveal placement. Multiple sponsor logos, shown to select audiences during jacket-off hours on the dance floor.

SLEEVE CUFF — STARTER

An entry-level placement for emerging brands. Appears in all toasting and cake-related content.

TERMS

Logos join whatever is already sold — placement is first come, first stitched. Rates negotiable, dignity not included. B2B inquiries only (your mom's Etsy shop counts).
